3,000 Egyptian Bedouins March Against
Trafficking and Organ Theft of African Refugees
September 16, 2011
Today, 3,000 Bedouins have assembled near the Egypt-Israel
border for a conference and march against the trafficking and
abuse of African refugees and migrants, conducted extensively in
the Sinai area.  They are announcing that  they are putting all
participants in this practice, Egyptian and Israeli alike, on notice
that such activity will no longer be tolerated.  Following a meeting,
they will march to the border area where torture camps are known
to be, and announce their intention to stop the abuse.
Mr  Hamdy Al-Azazy of New Generation Foundation for Human
Rights, Arish (ngf-humanrights.org),  and organizer of the event,
said today, “The war against human trafficking and abuse has
started today!  The great majority of Egyptian Bedouins are good,
law-abiding people, and they want to stop the bad ones who are
doing evil and making a bad name for all of them”
