Our Solidarity with the delegation of the Ethiopian Catholic Church

We want to express our solidarity with the delegation of the Ethiopian Catholic Church led by His Eminence Card. Bérhaneyesus Demerew, H.E. Mons. Musie Ghebregiorghis Eparca of Emdeber, and Abba Teshome Fikre ECS, this delegation went with a regular visa to Asmara to participate in the jubilee of the Archieparchial Church of Asmara which celebrates the 50th anniversary and annual feast of the patron saint Kidane Méhret (The Madonna of Perpetuo Aid), but upon their arrival at the air port of Asmara despite the regular entry visa they were illegally detained for 16 hours in the airport of Asmara by an illegal regime as well as being a criminal he committed crime on these religious leaders who came in pilgrimage to celebrate with the Eritrean brothers the annual feast dedicated to the Patroness of Asmara Kidane Méhret, after 16 hours of illegal detention they were rejected forced to return to Addis Ababa. This is the plastic demonstration of the falsity of the so-called "Peace" process. There is no peace by violating the rights and freedoms of people and religions. We condemn the crime that has been committed on the Ethiopian delegation of religious leaders of the Catholic Church. We also express our solidarity with the Catholic Church which is in Eritrea which has been humiliated by this regime which for years has continued to perpetrate its crimes against the Eritrean population and the Catholic Church in Eritrea.
