Eritrean & Ethiopian Refugees in Selum Camp - Egypt

Oggi ho avuto contatto telefonico con profughi eritrei che sono nel campo profughi di Selum al confine del Egitto con la Libya.
Sono circa 3000 persone di cui, 150 Habeshia, 65 Eritrei di cui 10 donne 8 bambini e 85 etiopi, il resto del gruppo sono molti sudanesi, somali e libici.
Fino ad ora sono partiti solo circa 75 per sono con il programma di reinsediamento. I profughi sono molto preoccupati il fatto che le autorità egiziane della zona ostacolano le procedure, episodi come quelli che impediscono ai profughi di recarsi in città per fare l'esame medico che l'Ambascita canadese chiede per completare la procedura del reinsediamento, sono segnali non di collaborazione delle autorità della regione.
I profughi la mentano anche della pericolosità della zona dove si trova il campo, spari provenienti dalla Libia, hanno colpito alcuni profughi, cosi come la situazione socio sanitario molto precario, campo poco protetto dal fredo, pioggia e vento.
Chiediamo che l'UNHCR presti maggior attenzione, e accelleri il processo di reinsediamento dei profughi nei paesi disposti ad accogliere questi profughi.
Chiediamo al governo egiziano di non estacolare il programma di reinsediamento dei profughi dal campo di profughi di Selum.

Today I had telephone contact with Eritrean refugees who are in the refugee camp on the border of Egypt Selum with Libya.
There are about 3000 people of which 150 Habeshia, 65 Eritreans, including 10 women, 8 children and 85 Ethiopians, the rest of the group are many Sudanese, Somalis andLibyans.
Up to now I have only started about 75 am with the resettlement program. The refugeesare very concerned about the fact that the Egyptian authorities in the area hinder the procedures, episodes such as those that prevent refugees to travel to town to do themedical examination that the Canadian Embassy asked to complete the process of resettlement, signals are not cooperation of the authorities in the region.
The refugees also the lie of the dangerousness of the zone where the field, shooting from Libya, they hit some of the refugees, as well as the health and social situation very precarious, poorly protected by fredo field, rain and wind.
We ask that UNHCR pay more attention, and expedite the process of resettlement ofrefugees in the countries willing to accept these refugees.
We ask the Egyptian government not to estacolare the program of resettlement ofrefugees from the refugee camp of Selum.
