Don Mussie Zerai Update from the Sinai on January 24 2011 The situation in the first group of 250 people, including 100 people do not know what happened to, in the case that ended up in jail Egyptian demand that UNHCR can visit them and receive their requested political asylum, the Egyptian government in as a signatory of the Geneva Convention of 1951 must ensure that these people access to asylum. The 27 people left in the hands of smuggling in Rafah are undergoing a tragic time, especially the pregnant woman at 5 months after the ill-treatment received in the days before yesterday afternoon lost the baby she was carrying now fears for his life, because it continues to lose blood, without receiving any medical treatment. We strongly compromised the health condition of the boy lying on the ground for days after being savagely beaten raiders. Hours are terrible for our brothers and sisters refugees, who have the right to asylum in a civilized country, why not ask Europe to turn their backs on these people. The second group of Eritrean refugees who are at the northern Sinai near the airport used by UN forces, were left in 16 after the "liberation" of those people who paid the ransom, only that there is no news of where they are already a week who have skied the place of captivity. We now report that it added 38 new refugees are unaware of all that is happening in captivity are over this fact alarming because there no effort by the governments of this region to combat human trafficking. A week ago the testimony of one of the refugees told us of the campaign carried out by raiders in Sudan to encourage many refugees to undertake this journey of "hope" that unfortunately ends up in these camps equipped by the smugglers in the desert of Sinai. The Silence of the governments of the region, Egypt, Israel and the Palestinian Authority, forcing hundreds of families to buy the "freedom" of their family ended up in the network of brokers in human flesh in the Sinai. Let's go ask the whole international community, particularly the European Parliament to take action using all legal and diplomatic tools available to governments to get involved in this tragic situation, a remedial action to liberate and protect the refugees who are now kept in condition slavery in the Sinai.
